My Honest Thoughts Of The Master Cleanse Diet

Have you always wondered how celebrities are able to fatten up and then slim down in no time for roles? Like how Beyonce was able to trim 20 pounds off in order to play her sexy role in the film Dreamgirls? Or how Jared Leto was able to put on 62 pounds for a role in Mark David Chapman and then lose all of that in no time? You may think that it has something to do with the personal chefs and trainers but in this case, it doesnt at all.

Im sure youve probably heard about the master cleanse diet. This diet was created some 50 years ago by an alternative medicine practitioner by the name of Stanley Burroughs. He had designed the diet to be a cleansing diet which would allow the dieter to excrete the toxins he had accumulated in his body throughout the years.

What this diet is all about is the simple consumption of lemonade during the entire period of 10 days and nothing else but that. So basically this is a liquid diet. The lemonade that I am talking about is a mixture of fresh lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. The maple syrup you may decrease in quantity if you want but do not remove any of the ingredients when making your lemonade. You may have to get used to the taste of cayenne pepper but never take it out.

You cant go nosedive into the diet which means you will need to go through an ease-in period first.

The ease-in period is a couple of days directly prior the start of the diet which will be used for your body to get ready for what lies ahead. For this particular diet, you will need to trade in heavy meals with lighter ones consisting mainly of fruits and vegetables to prepare you for the days when you will be taking in nothing but lemonade.

Finally, after the ease in period you can finally start with your diet. The average duration of your diet should be 10 days but this ultimately depends on you. Some have dieted for as little as 7 and as many as 12 days.

However, a few may only be able to diet for a period of 7 days. As long as you follow the instructions meticulously it wont be a problem. Drink the lemonade anytime you need to or want to.

Finally, you will have to partner your lemonade consumption with laxatives. The role of the laxatives is to allow for proper movement of your bowels. You will not have any fiber in your diet of lemonade so you will have to get it from the laxatives.

You will need to take in laxatives so that your body can excrete wastes that ultimately include the toxins.
